October Goal

I haven't done a one month goal in quite a while and I'm a person who likes goals, gives me something to keep me on track and there are times I need that. So this month I pledge to be the month I finally finish the Retro Air-Ship Propeller top. Now I would love to say that it will quilted and bound but I know my limitations and it is not going to happen. But that is okay... each step is a step closer to being completed. To think I started this a little over a year ago, September 2016 to be exact with Karen at Quilt Etc . and Deb at Frugal Little Bungalow  I believe Karen is done with her and Deb is like me, still working on her's. So that is it.... Octobers One Month Goal and linking up at Elm Street

What's Up 4.3.17

Well here it is Monday and the  first part of April. And today I'm not just going to show what I am working on but also this month's OMG. So the WIP I picked is Retro Air-Ship Propeller quilt. Started this back in Sept last year and Karen and I said we would do a couple blocks a month until we had enough to make a top. Well the pressure is on to finish because Karen has finished her a few days ago.  Depending on how I set the blocks or how large I'l make it, will be the deciding factor on how many blocks I'll need. Right now I have 16, I could make as few as 4 or up to 25. Haven't decided yet. Now for what is going to up on the wall today is this month's Stash Buster. The pattern is a Timeless Treasures freebie called Arrow. Seeing how my goal is to use as much as I can of my stash.... this is to be  all stash,  BLUE STASH.  Which is what I do have... a large amount of blue fabric. I j

Time Flys

It's hard to believe it's been two weeks since I last wrote.  I have been very productive tho. I was able to complete my string quilt and love how it turned out.  Can't say that it made a dent in the strips. I also machine quilted the turquoise baby quilt. Nothing fancy just some straight lines and waves around the outer border. Now it's ready to be given away. Now I can say Yeah!!!!! The Farmer's Wife 1930 quilt is done. I did a different setting than the book and didn't use all the blocks I made. I'll have to find something else to use the remaining ones. Turned out OK Measures out to be 86 x 93.  So now on the design wall is my OMG for this month  it is one of the RSC I started in 2015 Have 10 blocks but I'll need six more to go.  Linking up with elm street quilts

February's OMG

It's February and time to share what my one goal for the month will be. But before I do that I would like to update on the surgery that was suppose to have today for Carpal Tunnel. I've been having discomfort for some time in the upper abdominal area but haven't yet pinpointed the cause. Had an ultrasound done this past week and gave no clue. So as precaution we'll reschedule and do a few other test.  Otherwise I feel fine. So now to my goal... Since I have all the embroidery done on the Friendship blocks and trimmed down.....it's time to put it together. This is it so far. It will of course be set on point and as of right now I'm not sure if it will have a border or not.  My thoughts are not to use this quilt on a bed but do look forward to displaying it.... so size is not an issue. I expect this be an easy goal as long as I don't run into no problems. Linking up at Elm Street Quilts sew fresh quilts
